  We always stay at the B Ocean Hotel when we come to Fort Lauderdale partly for the Wreck Bar. It's a piece of American history and the Mermaid show is AWESOME!

  Great upscale "dive bar." Traveling alone and in Fort Lauderdale for one brief evening, I was looking for a place near the harbor where I could have a couple beers to end the evening. With an early flight, I didn't want to stay out too late. Well, Smashley and the fun crowd that came through the pub were entertaining enough that my planned 11pm curfew was extended to 1:30am.
  A bucket of beers was cheap and the crowd of friendly people coming through made it a lot of fun. The crowd was generally my age (college age kids -- is the polite way to describe it).
  If I'm ever back in Fort Lauderdale, I'll be staying near the harbor and spending an evening at the Wreck.

  Not bad. First come first serve so you can't reserve a table. Much smaller than I thought it would be.
